Thank you for visiting NUCLEARFROGRACING.COM. My name is Howard Brown and I live in a small town called Pflugerville just outside of Austin, Texas. I have lived here for about 15 years with my wife of 18 years and our 4 year old daughter.
Brown Motorsports is an outlaw pro-modified drag race team based in Pflugerville, Texas. I am the owner and driver of a crowd favorite 1968 Camaro, dubbed the “Nuclear Frog”, with the Texas Outlaw Pro-Mod Association. I am no newcomer to the racing scene. After a long and successful ATV racing career, which eventually took it's toll on my body, I decided to step into the drag racing arena. I campaigned a nitrous-fed 1967 camaro in local brackets and “Big Dog” events where my notoriety earned me the respect of my fellow competitors as a hard working tuner and honest racer. The car produced consistent ET’s of 9.30 seconds (quarter mile) and also recorded several wins. My goals were soon met and I was ready to take the next step - upgrade to a blown alcohol Hemi.
The Nuclear Frog is equipped with a state of the art chromemoly chassis with all the current NHRA and IHRA certifications. A blown Alan Johnson 526 TFX Hemi and Bruno/Lenco two speed transmission powers the car to mid six second times at over 200 mph! The Brown Motorsports team operates out of a thirty two foot enclosed trailer and a 2006 Dodge dually mega cab. The team cleans the entire rig before each race to keep their sponsors names and logos looking their best both on the highway and at the track.
For the 2009 season there are plans to have more than 30 races scheduled, and we plan to attend them all. We are also scheduled at a local high school auto mechanics class to have a mock up race day hands on training class.
