History

Our current car, the Nuclear Frog, was purchased from a local Austin guy who ran it for several years. This car still holds the track record at Temple Academy Dragway for a 3,000 pound street car with a 7.80 pass. The car has posted speeds and ET's of 4.80 in the 1/8 mile and 7.80 @ 190 in the ¼ mile.

The Nuclear Frog will replace my old 1967 Camaro that has run a best of 9.30 @ 150 mph at 3,200 pounds with a 327 Small Block Chevy. Before it was sold, we changed over to a blown 540 cubic inch Big Block chevy, but we determined that it would not be safe for the elapsed times and speeds desired, so the Frog was purchased.

Now the time has come for the second phase of the Frog. We have completely updated the chassis to certify to 6.00 in the 1/4 mile and unlimited speeds. We have also changed the metal firewall and floors, removable belly pan, new seating, steering, gauges, air shift controls to fit Howard, new struts, brakes, tires and bead lock wheels. We have added a new 14-71 blower, set back 2 ½ inches. This cars first pass at Super Bowl in Houston, Texas netted a 1.12 60 feet but had to lift shortly after because it was lined up crooked. The second pass netted a 1.12 60 feet with a 3.00 to the 330, but the run was aborted at 300 feet due to oil on windshield.
